The Maligne Canyon Icewalk is a must-do activity while visiting Jasper! Imagine walking on a frozen river bed at the bottom of the deepest accessible canyon in Jasper National Park. You will witness towering frozen waterfalls, ice caves, and incredible ice formations. Your Icewalk tour guide will amaze you with information about Jasper's Maligne Valley, the Karst topography of the area and the mystery of “disappearing” Medicine Lake. This winter adventure is sure to impress!
The Maligne Canyon Icewalk Tour is a great option for anyone who does not ski or snowboard. Whether you are in Jasper for a day or a week, the icewalk is offered 3 times and day, so you could get a full morning of skiing on the slopes and than participate on and Icewalk in the afternoon or evening. The Icewalk Tour covers approximately 3.5 kms (2.1 miles) and is mostly downhill. Participants are required to dress appropriately for the weather. Transportation is included and pick-ups are available from all Jasper accommodations. Please indicate your shoe size when booking as warm boots and ice cleats will be provided.

What to wear?
We provide boots, ice cleats, and helmets. Please be prepared for the mountain weather. It changes quickly and our winter tours run up to -25C (-17F). Wind chill can change the temperature dramatically and you will be outside for the majority of your tour.
